Semester Examination Schedule Released
The examination schedule for Winter Semester 2025 has been published. Students are advised to check the timetable and prepare accordingly. Hall tickets will be available for download from the student portal from 15th February 2025.
Guest Lecture: Life as a Ship Captain
Captain Vikram Sharma, Master Mariner with 25 years of experience, will be sharing insights about life at sea and career progression in the merchant navy. All students are encouraged to attend.
Scholarship Applications Open
Applications are now being accepted for merit-based scholarships for the academic year 2025-26. Eligible students can download the application form from the student resources section and submit it to the accounts office by 15th February 2025.
Campus Placement Drive - Major Shipping Companies
Leading shipping companies including Maersk, MSC, and Evergreen will be conducting on-campus recruitment for graduating students from 15th-20th February 2025. Eligible students must register through the placement cell and submit updated resumes by 5th February.
Campus Closed for Republic Day
The campus will remain closed on 26th January 2025 (Sunday) in observance of Republic Day. Classes will resume on 27th January 2025. Emergency contact numbers are available at the administration office.
Simulator Training Batch 5A - Schedule Update
Due to technical maintenance, the simulator training for Batch 5A scheduled for 22nd January has been rescheduled to 25th January 2025. Timing remains the same: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Students are requested to bring their training logbooks.
Inter-College Sports Meet 2025
Seaskills Maritime Academy will be hosting the Annual Inter-College Maritime Sports Meet from 10th-12th February 2025. Students interested in participating should register with the sports coordinator by 30th January. Events include football, volleyball, cricket, and athletics.
Library Extended Hours During Exams
The campus library will be open with extended hours from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM during the examination period (1st March - 20th March 2025). Students can access all reading rooms and digital resources.
Industrial Visit to Port of Chennai
An industrial visit to Chennai Port has been organized for Marine Engineering students on 5th February 2025. Students will get hands-on exposure to port operations, cargo handling, and ship repair facilities. Registration is mandatory.
Payment Deadline Extension
The last date for semester fee payment has been extended to 31st January 2025 without late fee. Students facing financial difficulties can contact the accounts office for installment options.
